By 2030, the volume of the global cyber insurance sector will reach $50 billion
According to estimates by international insurance and reinsurance broker Gallagher, the cyber insurance market will grow to $30-50 billion in premium income over the next five years. For comparison: in 2025, the global cyber insurance sector amounted to $16-20 billion.
Such data is contained in the report of the reinsurance broker Gallagher “Cyber Insurance Market Development Forecast for 2026”.
The UkrStrakhuvannya Internet resource reports that two-thirds of the global cyber insurance market is in North America, but the highest growth rate of this sector is demonstrated by the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, which are characterized by a high level of digitalization.
A new problem for the cyber insurance sector is Artificial Intelligence, the use of which in operational processes increases the vulnerability of companies. Thus, every third case related to unauthorized disruption of supply chains is related to AI.
Recall that according to the NBU Resolution, the insurance service provider is obliged to take measures to ensure cybersecurity of information containing insurance secrets and which is processed in the information and communication systems of the insurer, reinsurer or insurance intermediary in connection with the conclusion and/or performance of an insurance contract (reinsurance).
