Insurance market of Ukraine in 2025. Insurance TOP summed up and identified leading insurers
The results of 2025 for the insurance market of Ukraine indicate a combination of large-scale growth in activity volumes with a structural reduction in the number of participants. The number of registered insurance companies decreased from 63 in the 1st quarter to 57 at the end of the year (-9.5%). The number of life insurance companies did not change during the year and became 10. At the same time, the number of insurers that submitted reports decreased from 63 to 57. During the year, 6 insurers were included in the State Register, including two in the 1st quarter, one in the first half of the year, two in the first 9 months and three in the fourth quarter.
Insurance companies of Ukraine ended 2025 with an increase in assets and profitability. The volume of services of non-bank financial institutions for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale war exceeded the level of 2021.
Risky segment of dual-income insurance, concentration is growing, capital ratios remain under pressure.
