NBU presents list of significant insurers on Ukrainian market for the first time
As of January 1, 2026, 13 insurance companies in Ukraine have the status of significant insurer.
The National Bank of Ukraine has published a list of companies that have the status of significant insurers for the first time. Among them are two life insurance companies.
According to the NBU, the list of significant insurers is formed based on the average indicators of regulatory reporting as of the end of the two previous years preceding the date of assessment of the insurer’s performance indicators.
According to the UkrStrakhuvannya website with reference to the NBU, the following companies have the status of a significant insurer: “GRAVE UKRAINE LIFE INSURANCE”, SG “TAS (PRIVATE)”, NASK “ORANTA”, “INGO”, “UNIKA”, “UNIVERSALNA”, “UNIVERSALNA”, “VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP”, SD “TAS”, “USG”, “VUSO” “ARSENAL INSURANCE”.
“Strengthened requirements have been established for significant insurers regarding their activities. A significant insurer must have an effective management system organized taking into account its significance”, the NBU commented.
