The Government of Ukraine has tripled the amount of compensation for insurance of war risks
The Government of Ukraine has announced an increase in the amount of compensation as part of improving the mechanism for insurance of property against war risks.
As the UkrStrakhuvannya online resource found out from a press release of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the amount of compensation for damaged or destroyed property in front-line areas has increased from UAH 10 million to UAH 30 million. For the rest of the country, the amount of insurance compensation is increased from UAH 1 million. to UAH 3 million.
In addition to increasing the amount of compensation, the Government of Ukraine has abolished restrictions on previously received grants or other state support, and also provided the opportunity for enterprises that have already submitted applications to clarify them by May 1, 2026, taking into account the new rules.
“Since the program began on January 1, 2026, there are already first results. In the direction of compensation for damaged or destroyed property, businesses have filed 52 applications, of which 20 have already been confirmed for UAH 166.5 million. In the direction of compensation for insurance premiums, 21 applications have been filed,” Prime Minister Yulia Svirydenko reported.
