The total assets of the insurance sector of Ukraine in the fourth quarter increased by 29.4%
In the fourth quarter of 2025, the total assets of insurance companies operating in the Ukrainian market increased by 6.9% (quarter/quarter) and by 29.4% (year/year).
The online resource UkrStrakhuvannya learned about this from the NBU’s Review of the Non-Banking Financial Sector for March 2026.
According to the report, the assets of risk insurers in the fourth quarter increased by 8.0% compared to the same period in 2024, this indicator increased by 37.9%. In the life insurance sector, the assets increased by 4.8% (quarter/quarter) and by 14.8% (year/year).
The total premium income of the risk insurance sector in Ukraine decreased by 0.2% compared to the previous quarter, but compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, this indicator increased by 36.3%.
The financial result of the life insurance sector increased by 33.2% to UAH 18 billion due to net financial and investment income
Recall that in the fourth quarter of 2025, the number of non-banking financial services providers in Ukraine decreased by 15 companies, including 3 insurers who left the market. Most non-banking financial institutions ceased their activities by decision of the regulator, including due to violation of license conditions.
