War risk insurance accounts for 11% of the total volume of risk insurance in Ukraine
According to the National Association of Insurers of Ukraine, in the first quarter of 2026, the total volume of premium income under risk insurance contracts covering war risks amounted to about UAH 1 billion.
The specific weight of this line of insurance is 11% of the entire segment of risk insurance in terms of premium income.

According to the Report, CASCO voluntary insurance is the leader in war risk insurance with a total premium income of UAH 600 million in the first quarter.
Another popular war risk insurance is home insurance. The price of such a policy is on average 2% of the coverage amount and varies depending on the region.
“Among personal insurance programs with military coverage, accident insurance is the most common, but the volume of premiums collected for this product is negligible,” the Report states.
