61 insurers and 44 insurance brokers operate in the non-banking financial market of Ukraine
The National Bank of Ukraine has published a monthly report on the quantitative composition of the non-banking financial institutions market for July 2025.
According to the NBU, 13 companies, including one insurer, left the non-banking financial institutions market during the reporting period.
The UkrStrakhuvannya Internet resource from the NBU report states that in July 2025, the following companies left the non-banking financial institutions market in Ukraine: 9 financial companies, 3 credit unions and one insurer.
Thus, as of August 1, 2025, the total number of non-banking financial institutions in Ukraine decreased from 812 to 799 players, including 61 insurers and 44 insurance brokers operating in the market. Of the total number of insurers operating in the market, 51 non-life and 10 life insurers operate.
The National Bank of Ukraine received 280 requests for registration and licensing actions in the reporting month. The number of requests from financial companies, pawnshops and lessors was 149. The number of requests for banks was 45, for credit unions and collection companies – 32, for insurers – 54.
