There are 113 insurers working in Ukraine
The National Bank of Ukraine published another report on the quantitative composition of the market of non-banking financial institutions for August 2023
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, in the reporting month, the market of non-bank financial institutions of Ukraine decreased by 16 companies, including 11 financial companies, 1 insurer, 1 pawn shop and 3 credit unions that left the market.
Thus, as of September 1, 2023, 1,234 non-bank financial institutions (companies), including 113 insurers and 57 insurance brokers, are operating in Ukraine.
The Internet resource UkrStrahuvannya knows that the National Bank of Ukraine received 221 requests for registration and licensing actions. The number of requests from financial companies, pawnshops and lessors was 138. The number of requests for banks – 26, credit unions and collection companies – 14, insurers – 40, payment institutions – 3.
Previously, the National Bank of Ukraine canceled the licenses for carrying out economic activities in the field of financial services, issued by SC “Gestalt Group” and SC “INTO”. The decision was adopted on September 7, 2023, the decision will enter into force on September 8, 2023.
