International companies became more active in insuring Ukrainian sea transportation

Great news – our three Black Sea ports are once again receiving ships that will guarantee Ukrainian exports, Musa Magomedov noted.

The maritime corridor opened by Ukraine is gaining momentum, more and more ships are entering our ports, and this is a big step towards improving the state of our economy. The effectiveness of this corridor is also evidenced by the fact that international insurance companies have stepped up and offer insurance programs. This was stated by People’s Deputy Musa Magomedov.

“Great news: our three Black Sea ports are once again accepting ships that will guarantee Ukrainian exports. This is a big step towards stabilizing our economy. And after 10 ships have already used the recently created temporary corridor, international insurance companies have begun to take initiatives to cover insurance risks. And this is another great news!” he wrote.

He also reported that the Ukrainian authorities are currently working on finding effective ways to fully restore Ukrainian exports – this is one of the issues that is currently in the center of attention.

“I hope that very soon we will be able to safely (at least relatively) export not only grain, but also metal, fertilizers, ore, equipment, etc. Then our economy will have a great chance to stay afloat,” Magomedov summarized.

Earlier, the director of BPG Shipping, Gennadiy Ivanov, said that the freight rates of vessels for the transportation of grain through the temporary sea corridor have now fallen to the level of September last year, when the “grain corridor” under the auspices of the United Nations began to work.

We will remind, the spokesman of the Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, said that more than 10 new ships are planning to enter Ukrainian ports for loading. Thus, there are 12 ships to enter the new sea corridor, and 10 ships to leave. In turn, the Armed Forces do everything to ensure the safety of civil shipping in our water area.
