According to the results of 2023, the volume of risk insurance premiums in Ukraine increased by 20%
The National Bank of Ukraine presented the Annual Report for 2023, which contains the most important results and changes in the macro-financial system of Ukraine during the second year of full-scale war.
“2023 demonstrated the incredible resilience and adaptability of the Ukrainian economy and financial sector/…/Despite the war, Ukraine was able to move from a survival strategy to a recovery strategy, thereby exceeding all expectations,” commented NBU Head Andriy Pyshnyi.
On the initiative of the NBU, active work began on the Credit Development Strategy, the solution to the problem of military NPLs, and the introduction of a fully functional military risk insurance system.
As reported by the UkrStrahuvannya internet resource with reference to the NBU press release, the total amount of risk insurance premiums in Ukraine for 2023 increased by 20%. This was facilitated by the improvement of security conditions in the territory under the control of Ukraine and systematic work to improve and ensure market transparency.
