During the month, 4 insurers left the market of non-bank financial institutions of Ukraine
The National Bank of Ukraine submitted a monthly report on the quantitative composition of the market of non-banking financial institutions.
According to the NBU, in August 2024, 12 financial companies, 3 credit unions, and 4 insurance companies left the market of non-bank financial institutions of Ukraine. Along with this, 2 insurance brokers were included in the State Register of Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers of Ukraine.
Thus, as of September 1, 2024, the total number of non-bank financial institutions decreased from 963 to 946 players, including 78 insurers and 42 insurance brokers.
The UkrStrahuvannya Internet resource knows that the National Bank of Ukraine received 318 requests for registration and licensing actions. The number of requests from financial companies, pawnshops and lessors was 154. The number of requests for banks – 41, for credit unions and collection companies – 32, for insurers – 88, for payment operators – 3.
As a reminder, the National Bank of Ukraine included two players in the State Register of Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers: Willis Insurance Brokers and Atria Insurance Broker. The decision on inclusion was adopted by the Committee for Supervision and Regulation of Non-Banking Financial Services Markets on August 23, 2024.
