There are 65 insurers and 43 insurance brokers operating in Ukraine
The National Bank of Ukraine has published a new report on the quantitative composition of the non-banking financial institutions market. According to the NBU report, 4 companies, including 1 insurance broker, left the non-banking financial institutions market during the month.
The UkrStrakhuvannya Internet resource from the NBU report knows that in January 2025, 2 credit unions, 1 financial company and 1 insurance broker left the non-banking financial institutions market.
Thus, as of February 1, 2025, the total number of non-banking financial institutions in Ukraine decreased from 876 to 872 players, including 65 insurers and 43 insurance brokers operating in the market.
In January, the National Bank of Ukraine received 207 requests for registration and licensing actions. The number of requests from financial companies, pawnshops and lessors was 135. The number of requests from banks was 25, from credit unions and collection companies – 8, from insurers – 38, from payment operators – 1.
