Health and safety risk to directors and officers is a major D&O risk

In 2024, health and safety risk ranks first in the list of potential risks for directors and officers (D&O), according to analytical surveys.

From the reports of the international broker WTW and the global legal company Clyde&Co, the UkrStrahuvannya Internet resource found out that respondents from among top managers, directors and other officials consider risks to safety and health to be very or extremely important.

Approximately 84% of directors, officers and risk managers worldwide gave this answer. In second place with 79% of responses is the risk of a cyber incident, in third place is the risk of data leakage.

We will remind you that a year ago, D&O representatives named cyber incidents and data leakage as the most important risk.

“While cyber incidents and data breaches have been the top risks for directors and officers over the past five years, it was surprising to see that health and safety is now seen as a top risk. It is clear that the pandemic continues to impact the business environment, with some of our clients citing the rise of mental health as a significant issue in their organizations,” commented Jeremy Wall, Chairman of Global FINEX, WTW.
