There are 98 insurers and 39 insurance brokers working in Ukraine
The National Bank of Ukraine published data on the quantitative composition of the market of non-banking financial institutions for March 2024.
According to the NBU, in the reporting month, the market of non-bank financial institutions of Ukraine decreased by 4 companies. During the past month, the market of non-bank financial institutions was replenished by 3 financial companies and 2 insurance brokers. Along with this, 5 leasing companies, 2 credit unions and 2 pawnshops left the market.
Thus, as of April 1, 2024, 1,054 non-bank financial institutions (companies), including 98 insurers and 39 insurance brokers, are operating in Ukraine.
The Internet resource UkrStrahuvannya knows that the National Bank of Ukraine received 369 requests for registration and licensing actions. The number of requests from financial companies, pawnshops and lessors was 190. The number of requests for banks – 37, for credit unions and collection companies – 36, for insurers – 104, for payment operators – 2.
